2022 Municipal Election Results

The Township of Douro-Dummer holds a municipal election every four years to elect the Mayor and Council as well as school board trustees. The next election will take place on October 24, 2022 and Council has chosen to continue with the use of Internet and Telephone voting.

Avoid additional paperwork by registering on our Voters' List. You can register up to and on the date of the Election. While you can be added to the Voter's List at the Municipal Office on the date of election, this may create delays and a longer waiting time. Make sure you give yourself enough time to both register and cast your vote.

Is your name on the Voter's List?

To verify your name is on the voter's list for the 2022 Municipal Election, please contact Township Election staff.

Add your name to the Voter's List

Up until 7:45 PM on Monday October 24, 2022, you can add your name and information on the Voter's List by sending an EL15 Form to Election Staff. Please include a copy of approved photo ID.
You can also can print the EL15 Form, complete and submit it with photo ID to the Municipal Office.

Voting Methods

For the 2022 Municipal Election, the Township of Douro-Dummer will once again offer Internet or Telephone voting. Eligible electors will be able to vote from a mobile device, computer, telephone, cell phone, tablet, or laptop. Internet or telephone voting is a convenient option for electors, allowing them to access ballots anytime, anywhere.

Eligible voters will receive a personalized voting instruction package well before Election Day (October 24, 2022) with details on how to vote online or by phone.

For the 2022 elections, voting will be open until 8:00 PM on October 24, 2022.

Electronic voting stations will also be available at the Municipal office during the voting period for public use.

Financial statements and auditor reports

The Elections Act requires candidates to file financial statements. If a candidate's contributions and expenses exceed $10,000, they must have their financial statements audited and submit the auditor report. In both 2014 and 2018 no candidate exceeded $10,000 in contributions and expenses.
