Movies and Music

Your Library has over 500 movie and TV series DVD titles for you to borrow. On top of the Library regular DVD collection, we are also part of the Ontario Library Service DVD Pool program, which means that every 3 months the Library gets new DVDs for patrons to take home.

DDPL also subscribes to Kanopy. Use your library card number to stream movies for free on any device in your home.

A small collection of movies and TV shows are available for borrowing through Overdrive.

To access Overdrive you must have a library card number. Please contact us for more information about getting a library card, or if you need help accessing Overdrive.

National Film Board (NFB)

Films on the NFB website can be streamed free of charge. “[Their] Collection includes documentaries, animations, experimental films, fiction and interactive works. [They] showcase films that take a stand on issues of global importance that matter to Canadians—stories about the environment, human rights, international conflict, the arts and more. [They] also have a selection of animated films for both adults and children […].”

At the moment, the Library doesn't have Music CDs in its collection. If this is something you would like to see, please let us know!
