If you are a young person interested in running for Municipal Council in October 2026, the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) has a series of information sessions tailored just for you.

Candidates running for the position of Mayor or Deputy Mayor must also provide at least 25 endorsement signatures (strongly suggested that more than 25 signatures be obtained) from eligible electors using the prescribed form.
