ORCA Flood Warning & Lakelands Public Health Statement

April 29, 2026

The Otonabee Region Conservation Authority (ORCA) has extended the flood watch for local watercourses until Thursday May 7, 2026. 

During this time, Lakelands Public Health (LPH) is urging residents and business owners to take precautions with the current flooding conditions across the region.

Register to Vote for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections

Are you on the Voter's List?

The Municipal and School Board Elections will take place on October 26, 2026

Use Elections Ontario’s Voter Registration Service to confirm, update, add or remove your voter information for provincial and municipal elections, including School Board elections. 

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) remains responsible for collecting information about school support. To update your school support information, visit MPAC’s online School Support tool.

Township Plans, Policies and Studies

The Township of Douro-Dummer develops plans, policies and reports to set goals and objectives which guide Township activities and services. Plans show what work has been completed and what we want to achieve going forward. The Township of Douro-Dummer has various strategic and long-range plans that guide decision making and operations.

Township Council oversees and approves the policies and plans guide service delivery in the Township.

2020 Municipal Service Delivery Review

In 2020, the Township took part in a Service Delivery Review with WSCS Consulting. The main takeaway from the Review were the recommendations outlined by the consultants on how to better improve services and processes as well as reduce costs and increase revenues.
