Alto Extends their Consultation Period until April 24, 2026 and adds an Additional Virtual Consultation Session

If you would like to provide your feedback and learn more about the Alto High Speed Rail project, you can do so through their website questionnaire and upcoming virtual consultation session. They have extended their public consultation period to run until April 24, 2026.

March 11, 2026:

The Township of Douro-Dummer is committed to keeping residents and ratepayers informed about the Alto High-Speed Rail project by sharing updates provided by project representatives.

The Alto High-Speed Rail is a Federal Government project working to connect Quebec City to Toronto by train.

As this is a Federal initiative, the Township of Douro-Dummer does not have authority over the project and does not have conformation on whether the route will pass through Township boundaries.

Residents and ratepayers who have questions or concerns about the Alto High-Speed Rail are encouraged to contact their Member of Parliament and read the resources linked below.

This page will be updated with any additional information regarding the project when this information becomes available.
