Please be advised that the Township office will be closed on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for an all-staff meeting and annual all-staff barbecue. 

All office services will resume at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 24, 2026. 

Join us for the Douro Canada Day Parade on Wednesday, July 1 at 2:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the parade, free of charge. Parade entries may include walkers, floats, community groups, or decorated vehicles. All entries must register in advance.

Participants who are walking or driving in the parade are asked to assemble at 2:00 p.m. at the bottom of the hill on Douro Fourth Line Road.

The County of Peterborough will be conducting a geotechnical investigation on County Road 6, from County Road 40 to approximately 2.8 km north of County Road 56, from June 8–10, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.

Peterborough Humane Society and Lakelands Public Health are providing another Reduced-Cost Rabies Clinic on Friday June 5, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. This event will be hosted by the Township of Asphodel-Norwood. 

Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Douro-Dummer has received a complete application for Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) and will hold a public meeting to consider the proposed amendment to the Township of Douro-Dummer Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 10-1996, as amended, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 13, as amended. The ZBA has been assigned File No. R-02-26 and the subject property is located at 1071 Moodie Drive.

Please be advised that road resurfacing work will be taking place on Douro Fifth Line from County Road 8 South for approximately 800 metres.
