Douro-Dummer Public Library is pleased to announce the launch of new programming and enhancements made to the library's Learning Commons with funding from the Seniors Community Grant. 

Please be advised that curbside garbage collection scheduled for Monday, September 1, 2026, on several roads throughout the Township will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, September 2, 2026).

Please be advised that the Township Office will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 for Labour Day.

All office services will resume on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.

The Township of Douro-Dummer has posted its official 2026 Notice of Election Information, including the candidates for Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Members of Council and School Board Trustee positions. The notice also outlines voter eligibility and Voter Help Desk hours.

Applications are now open for the Rural Ontario Development (ROD) Business Development Stream.

Rural Ontario businesses with 20 employees or less are eligible to apply for up to 35% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of ten-thousand dollars ($10,000.00) in funding. Apply by October 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.!

Curbside garbage collection scheduled for Monday, August 17, 2026, will be delayed on many roads in the Township, due to a staffing issue. The impacted roads will be collected on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Curbside garbage collection scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, 2026, was missed on several roads in the Township, due to a mechanical issue. The affected roads will be collected on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Douro-Dummer has received a complete application for a Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) and will hold a public meeting to consider the proposed amendment to the Township of Douro-Dummer Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 10-1996, as amended, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended. The application has been assigned File Number R-07-26 and the Subject Property is located at 482 Douro First Line.
