No Daytime Burning

Douro-Dummer Fire Services (DDFS) is implementing a No Daytime Burning restriction effective tomorrow, July 31, 2025.

During a No Daytime Burning restriction, the burning of open-air fires is restricted to the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and fire size is restricted to campfires only. If a fire is lit in the early morning, it must be extinguished by 7:00 a.m.

Please note that all other regulations in the 2020-35 Open-Air Burning By-law apply, such as:

  • A valid and activated burn permit is required
  • A competent adult must stay with the fire at all times - extinguish the fire if you are leaving it for any reason
  • Only clean, dry wood may be burned
  • The fire wood pile size and associate clearances must be in compliance with the by-law
