Delayed Garbage Collection | Monday January 5, 2026

Due to weather conditions, curbside waste collection on Monday January 5, 2026 has been delayed on several roads in the Township.

If your waste is not collected by 5:00 p.m. on Monday January 5, 2026, please bring your garbage inside and expect a triple collection next week.  

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Due to current weather conditions, including roads and icy surfaces, Waste Connections is experiencing difficulty with waste collection today. For the safety of both the drivers and the public, collection has been cancelled.

If your material has not been collected, please bring it back in. A double collection will occur next week.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Public Notice: Missed Garbage Collection – Winter Weather Impacts

Due to recent winter storms and unsafe road conditions, garbage collection was missed in some areas over the past three weeks.

To assist affected residents, the Township will accept up to three (3) bags of household garbage per household at the Halls Glen Transfer Station free of charge on the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, January 7, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, January 10, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Please bring your Transfer Station card to confirm residency.

This temporary measure supports residents who experienced service disruptions during the recent weather events. Thank you for your patience and understanding as our crews prioritize safety while maintaining essential services during challenging winter conditions.
