Compost Available at Halls Glen Transfer Station

The Township of Douro-Dummer is pleased to announce that starting on May 15, 2026, free compost will be available to Township of Douro-Dummer residents and ratepayers.  

This free compost courtesy of Peterborough County to support waste diversion efforts throughout the region.

Details

Starting date: Friday, May 15, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

Location: Hall's Glen Transfer Station (1951 County Road 6, Douro-Dummer, Ontario K0L 2H0)

Please note: 

• Free compost is only for Township of Douro-Dummer residents and ratepayers
• Compost is available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last
• Pickup can only occur during Hall's Glen Transfer Station opening hours
• A valid Transfer Station Card must be presented at the Transfer Station
• Bring your own shovel, container and loading equipment for compost pickup
