Douro Canada Day Parade 2026
The Township of Douro-Dummer invites residents and visitors to celebrate Canada Day at the annual Douro Canada Day Parade on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
This year’s theme is “Celebrating Canada, Celebrating Community.”
“Canada Day is one of my favourite days on the calendar,” said Township of Douro-Dummer Mayor, Heather Watson. “Our parade brings out the best of Douro-Dummer, neighbours lining the streets, kids waving flags, longtime residents next to people who just moved in. I hope everyone comes out and enjoys the day.”
Everyone is welcome to participate in the parade, free of charge. Parade entries may include walkers, floats, community groups, or decorated vehicles. All entries are asked to register in advance.
Councillor Ray Johnston is encouraging residents and organizations to get involved: “Come! Bring a float!”
Participants who are walking or driving in the parade are asked to assemble at 2:00 p.m. at the bottom of the hill on Douro Fourth Line Road.
