Due to a truck malfunction, curbside garbage collection that was originally scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2026, and rescheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2026, was unfortunately unable to be completed.

The remaining missed garbage will now be collected on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Residents on the affected roads are asked to leave their garbage at the curb until it has been collected.

The Municipal and School Board Elections will take place on October 26, 2026

Use Elections Ontario’s Voter Registration Service to confirm, update, add or remove your voter information for provincial and municipal elections, including School Board elections. 

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) remains responsible for collecting information about school support. To update your school support information, visit MPAC’s online School Support tool.

NOTICE: Missed Garbage Collection — Pick-up moved to Wednesday, July 22, 2026

Edit from Wednesday July 22, 2026: 

Due to a truck malfunction on Carveth's Marina Road, curbside garbage collection that was originally scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2026, and rescheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2026, was unfortunately unable to be completed.

The remaining missed garbage will now be collected on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Residents who have not had their garbage collected on the affected roads are asked to leave their garbage at the curb until it has been collected.

If you are unable to leave your garbage out, double collection will occur next week. 

Curbside garbage collection for Monday July 20, 2026, was missed on several roads in the Township and will be collected on Tuesday July 21, 2026. 

Impacted roads: 

  • Birchview Road (from Highway 28 to Camp Line Road)
  • Casement Lane
  • County Road 29
  • Douro Fifth Line 
  • Douro Fourth Line (from Highway 28 to County Road 6)
  • Englewood Lane
  • Grier Drive
  • Lake Edge Road
  • Lynch’s Rock Road to Cedar Cross Road
  • Moodie Drive
  • Stenner Road
  • Tate Lane
  • Tylers Close Road

If your garbage collection was missed on Monday July 20, 2026, please leave your garbage out for collection on Tuesday July 21, 2026. 

If you are on an impacted road and you cannot put your garbage out for an additional day, double collection will occur next week.
