Register to Vote for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections

The Municipal and School Board Elections will take place on October 26, 2026
Use Elections Ontario’s Voter Registration Service to confirm, update, add or remove your voter information for provincial and municipal elections, including School Board elections.
The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) remains responsible for collecting information about school support. To update your school support information, visit MPAC’s online School Support tool.

Due to weather conditions, curbside waste collection on Thursday, January 15, 2026 has been delayed on several roads in the Township.
Waste Connections has informed the Township that drivers and trucks have been pulled off the road for the safety of the drivers and the public.
To assist affected residents with missed garbage collection, the Township will accept up to three (3) bags of household garbage per household at the Halls Glen Transfer Station free of charge on the following dates and times:

Due to weather conditions, curbside waste collection on Monday January 5, 2026 has been delayed on several roads in the Township.
If your waste is not collected by 5:00 p.m. on Monday January 5, 2026, please bring your garbage inside and expect a triple collection next week.

Due to current weather conditions, including unplowed roads and icy surfaces, Waste Connections is experiencing difficulty with waste collection today. For the safety of both the drivers and the public, collection will be limited to main roads only.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, curbside waste collection on Monday December 8 has been missed on several Township roads and will be collected on Tuesday December, 9, 2025.

The County of Peterborough will be completing guiderail installation work at several locations within the Township of Douro-Dummer between November 17, 2025 and December 19, 2025.
Work may occur at any time during the installation window and will take approximately one full day to complete.
As per Council's direction, new speed signs have been installed on Douro Second Line reducing the maximum speed from 80 km/h to 60 km/h between County Road 8 and Division Road near Douro Park.
