Over the course of the summer, the Township of Douro-Dummer has organized three (3) "Sewage System Basics for Rural and Waterfront Property Owners" presentations. These presentations will be delivered by the Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association (OOWA).

All sessions are open to the public regardless of the location and the host. No registration is required.

Please be advised that the Township Office will be closed on Monday, May 18, 2026 for the Victoria Day Long Weekend. All office services will resume on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Peterborough County (County) is undertaking a Transportation Master Plan (TMP) Study for the Lakefield Area Road Network.

As part of this study, the County is will be hosting another Public Information Centre (PIC) from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 on Wednesday May 27, 2026, to present and gather feedback on the findings of the study. 

The Township of Douro-Dummer is pleased to announce that starting on May 15, 2026, free compost will be available to Township of Douro-Dummer residents and ratepayers.  

As a part of the Douro-Dummer Building, Planning & Economic Development Service Review an open forum will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

The yard waste bin at the Douro-Dummer Public Works Depot is back for the season. 

The yard waste bin allows residents to dispose of their brush, leaves, and general yard waste for free. Read the full story for full list of accepted items.
