Development Charges

What are Development Charges?

A Development Charge is a fee that the Township collects at the time a building permit application is completed. These fees are to help pay for the cost of infrastructure and services to new development in the Township. This includes facilities and community centres, emergency services, roads and sewer infrastructure.
