The County of Peterborough will be providing curbside leaf and yard waste collection this fall to assist residents in the proper disposal of seasonal yard materials. Residents in the designated service area are encouraged to review the information below for collection dates and preparation guidelines.

October 13–17, 2025

October 27–31, 2025

November 10–14, 2025

November 24–28, 2025

Collection Guidelines:

1. Material Preparation

• Leaves, plants, brush, and tree clippings must be placed in paper yard waste bags or reusable garbage containers with the lids removed.
• Materials set out in plastic bags will not be collected.

2. Branch Bundling

• Branches must be securely tied in bundles no larger than 1 metre (3 feet) in length and 30 centimetres (1 foot) in diameter.
• Whole trees will not be collected. Only branches meeting the above size requirements will be accepted.

3. Set-Out Requirements:

• All materials must be placed at the roadside by 7:00 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week.
• Collection will occur at any time between Monday and Friday, and may not coincide with your regular garbage or recycling collection day.

Additional Information:

There are no set-out limits and no tags are required for leaf and yard waste.
