Important Notice: Canada Post National Strike Impacting Service
Please be advised that starting Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has called for a national strike.
This will halt Canada Post operations, causing all items currently in process to be grounded until the end of the strike. No new items will be accepted until the strike ends, and delivery timelines may be impacted even after operations resume.
We urge you to consider alternative methods for sending important documents or payments during this period to avoid potential late fees or processing delays. Documents can be sent to info@dourodummer.ca or faxed to 705-652-5044.
Payments can be made at the municipal office or online (credit card payments are subject to 2.5% processing fee).
Please note that payments and documents mailed during the strike may not be received on time, and late charges may apply.
For information regarding your property taxes or outstanding balance, please contact us directly or sign up for e-billing.
For ongoing updates on strike activity, please visit Canada Post Negotiations or sign up for email alerts.
