The Douro-Dummer Fire Department is seeking proposals from qualified proponents for a Fire Master Plan and Community Risk Assessment tailored for its needs. This effort must include the development of a ten (10) year strategic plan that provides short-term and long-term guidance for the Fire Department’s future. The objective of the Fire Master Plan and Community Risk Assessment is to:

• Examine the possible alignment of services and resources,
• proactively respond to current and anticipated community needs,
• protect firefighters by ensuring appropriate and safe equipment and adequate staffing is available 24/7,
• explore opportunities to adjust and revise the Fire Department’s structure,
• share services to improve effectiveness, and
• implement cost efficiencies and cost avoidance.
