The Christmas spirit is coming to Warsaw!

A message from the Santa Claus Parade Committee: “The Christmas spirit is coming to Warsaw!”

The Douro-Dummer Santa Claus parade committee, Township staff and Council are excited to announce that although we will not have our traditional parade and tree lighting ceremony at the end of November, we will be spreading holiday cheer by handing out Christmas treat bags!

How do you participate? It’s easy! Drive by the Township office at 894 South Street in Warsaw on Saturday, November 27th between 5:00 and 6:00 pm and stop at the curb by the front door. There’s no need to get out of the car - one of our Christmas helpers will bring your treat bag to you! Not arriving by car? No problem, just stroll on by for your treat bag.

Do you want to donate some warmth to the community? In 2019, the committee made a request for donations of mitts, hats and scarves, which resulted in a great outpouring of support from the community. These donations were then split between Warsaw PS and St. Joseph’s CES, and were very gratefully received!  We would like to continue giving to our students again this year. Whether you knit, crochet or purchase items to donate, you can bring them to the Township office until December 10th (please put them in a plastic bag). They will be sorted and taken to the schools when classes return in early January. Thanks for your help in keeping our students warm!
