Vandalism at Douro Park

Township staff have been alerted to vandalism that occurred over the weekend at Douro Park. Damage was done to the porta potties, the newly expanded North Park parking lot, and the baseball diamond and outfield.

Recreation Facilities staff have already worked to repair the parking lot, and the porta potties, however, the grass on the baseball field will only be visibly improved once it grows back.

All residents are encouraged to contact Ontario Provincial Police if they witness vandalism or dangerous activity occurring on Township Property, and to please contact the Township Office if they notice that something on Township Property has been vandalised.

The Township would like to remind residents that these spaces are owned by the Township and are therefore for all residents to share and enjoy. When vandalism occurs, it creates a cost for the whole community and stops people from enjoying these wonderful spaces.
